Clearsnap and Viva Las Vegas stamps altered canvas

Last month, Clearsnap did a hop with Viva Las Vegas stamps. I was really excited to get this police box stamp because it reminds me of Dr. Who. I also chose the victorian steampunk lady to go with it.

This is my first attempt at an altered canvas.  I am not entirely thrilled with it, but I did have great fun making it and there are a lot of things that I love about it. I will definitely be trying an altered canvas again!

Inspiration example card

I find inspiration for my cards in a variety of locations. For this card, I just looked at the Queties ink pad set and used the colors as inspiration. I initially had planned to use all three colors of ink, but decided to create the sentiment using some Designer Foils and Adhesives instead, but still bring in the pink color from the ink pad collection.
Supplies: Pigment Quetie in 'Hip'
Designer Foil in Cherry Pie
Design Adhesive in Banner Wishes

Bazzill Cardstock
Hero Arts Stamp

Joy's Life Recycled

This was such a fun assignment because I am always hoarding packages that I think might be fun to alter, but I rarely get around to doing it! Here is the before picture.

And here is the after! I didn't actually put anything in it yet, but I can see filling this with wrapped candies and maybe a gift card.

Here is a closeup of the stamp. I used the 'super TWEET wishes' from the brand new Punny Animals set. I just love these new Joy's Life stamps! I used clearsnap ink of course. I also inked the little circles on the hydrangea to make them stand out a little more. The brad is from Eyelet Outlet. The papers are Echo park. The ribbon is may arts. I also used some sparkle fluff on the cloud. That was ellie's idea! I love how it turned out! The bookplate is from the tags bags boxes and more cricut cartridge. The hydrangea is from the walk in my garden cricut cartridge. The cloud is from the serenade cartridge.

Clearsnap and Helmar card

Today I want to share a card that I made a little bit ago for Clearsnap, when we did a blog swap with Helmar. I love the Helmar Zapdots foam tape so I used them on this card.
I started out with a kraft cardstock base and stamped it with a Hero Arts grid stamp using the new limited edition Chalk ink in Fawn. Next, I masked the center square and used the crackle rollagraph wheel with some limited edition pigment ink in Pool along the edges. After that was dry I used my sewing machine to add a border between the two stamped areas.
I die cut the leaves from green cardstock and then stamped them with a Hero Arts stamp using Limited Edition Pigment ink in Turtle.
For the main sentiment panel, I carefully inked the stamp in two different ink colors, because I was too lazy too make a mask. The balloon is stamped in the new Limited Edition Chalk ink in Butter and the sentiment is done with the Pool pigment ink to match the border.

I matted the sentiment block on another piece of green cardstock, using Helmar Zapdots foam adhesive to give it some dimension. I also added a zapdot under a couple of the leaves on the top branch for some dimension there.

Joy's Life Ice Cream cone

Today I have a fun cricut treat box to share with you. I got this ice cream cone pattern from the Sweet Treat Boxes cartridge. It was a lot easier than it looks! The top opens and there is an area above the cone that you can put treats in!

The papers are Bazzill. I cut this cone at 8 inches and it ended up being about that tall. I only added a few small things - the tag which is Maya Road and stamped with clearsnap ink and the Joy's Life stamp. I also added the eyelet outlet brad to it. The ric rac is wrights and the twine is the twinery.

Joy's Life Popsicle card

Today I have a fun card to get you all ready for summer!
I used the Sweet Popsicle Puns and the Pun in the Sun sets to create this cute summery card. I used clearsnap inks, a spellbinders die to create the bite, and some my mind's eye bling.
