Joy's Life Elephant Card

Joy's Life came out with THREE new stamp sets! I couldn't wait to get my hands on them and get to work! I had this adorable elephant in my cricut library and wanted to use it. So, I made this card with a carnival theme.

I used the Wishing you TONS of FUN sentiment from the brand new Punny Animals stamp set.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Stamp: Joy's life and Hero arts (background stamp for the border)
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye
Ink: Clearsnap

Joy's Life Ice Cream cone

Today I have a fun cricut treat box to share with you. I got this ice cream cone pattern from the Sweet Treat Boxes cartridge. It was a lot easier than it looks! The top opens and there is an area above the cone that you can put treats in!

The papers are Bazzill. I cut this cone at 8 inches and it ended up being about that tall. I only added a few small things - the tag which is Maya Road and stamped with clearsnap ink and the Joy's Life stamp. I also added the eyelet outlet brad to it. The ric rac is wrights and the twine is the twinery.

Mittens Joy's Life card

I made this card with my cricut. I cut the card and mittens from the Winter Wonderland cartridge. I added a piece of silver (frosty) vellum behind the cut out design of the card.
The stamp is from the Oh Christmas Puns. and oh how appropriate is this card for this week? Brrrr. The mittens are up on foam tape and a little jewel completes this simple card.
Cardstock is Bazzil. Vellum is Woodware. Ink and embossing powder are Clearsnap. Stamp is, of course, Joy's Life.

Joy's Life Tags and Bags blog hop

In this hop we'll each be making a bag and a tag to go with it. You know what is great about this hop? We can use the bags and tags for our own gift giving! YAY!

I cut this bag with my cricut using the tags bags boxes and more cartridge. I cut it from two sheets of My Little Shoebox patterned paper, which I then glued together to provide stability and a contrasting color on the inside.

I used the 'Hello Sweetie' stamp from the Joy's Life Yummy Puns set. I also used the To: and From: stamps from the Tag You're It One set.

The Tag is also cut with the same cartridge. The inks are clearsnap. The twine is the Twinery. Everything else is My Little Shoebox.

You should have arrived here from Jennie's blog. If not, you might want to go back and start from the beginning since there is lots of inspiration and prizes to be won. Otherwise, you are heading onto Lori's blog.

A-Maize-ing Joy's Life card

I just adore this pun! The challenge this week was to use Orange, green and brown. I used this pun from the It's All Fall puns set and an image from my cricut.
The papers are from We R Memory Keepers. The ink is clearsnap. I embossed the card with a spellbinders embossing folder.

Joy's Life Thanksgiving Leaves card

When Joy asked us to use leaves this week, I couldn't wait to break out my new (used) gypsy and see what I could find on there. I got it from Ebay pre-loaded with a bunch of cartridges. Sure, I have a list of the carts that are on there, but I don't have all the images memorized. This cut was a pair of leaves. I cut two pairs from each of two We R Memory Keepers patterned papers.

I wanted to evoke the idea of falling leaves. After I got them on there, I decided it needed something - but not too much, so I outlined the leaves. Then the sentiment needed something, so I underlined it. Love this sentiment from the It's All Fall stamp set

this is for the dare to be sassy challenge to use fall colors and the papertake weekly autumn challenge.

Joy's Life It's All Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joy's Life "It's All Fall" Blog hop!
This month we are celebrating the new fall stamp set - which is my new favorite! Check it out! How cute is that?!

I could not wait to use this fun stamp! Here is what I created:

It's a lunch bag with a turkey that I die cut with my cricut and the adorable 'Gobble' stamp.
I had intended to use this to create a hostess gift or something, but now I'm thinking it might be cute to use it as a lunch bag and surprise my daughter one day, near thanksgiving.

You should have arrived here from Lori
and if not, you might want to go back to the beginning and start at Joy's blog. (There are prizes all along the way!)

Here is the list for reference.

But before you go anywhere... Here is my prize (US residents only please):

This is modeling paste. It's my new favorite thing! I have been using it with stencils to create raised designs, but there are a million uses for it! I need to try putting a layer down and using an embossing folder or something to create a texture in it.

All you have to do is be or become a follower and leave me a comment, I will pick a random winner! Easy peasy!

and now you are off to the lovely Stacey's blog!

Joy's Life and Cri-kits blog hop!

Today the Joy's Life design team is hopping and being sponsored by Cri-Kit gel pens

I had so much fun making this card! It looks so detailed, but it was so easy! I used my gypsy to create a two-layered project. I used the silver metallic Cri-Kits pen to draw the design on the first layer, then the second layer cut out around it. I attached a simple square card to the back of the cut-out.

The 'You are a Treasure' stamp from the Joy's Life You're so Punny set, is perfect for this card with all it's rich gold accents.
All the papers and gems are My Mind's Eye. The ink is clearsnap.

You should have arrived here from Cyndy's blog. If not, you might want to head back and start at the beginning, as there is tons of inspiration and a bunch of prizes to be had!

Otherwise, feel free to head on to Stacey's blog

Happy Birthday Cri-Kits card

This week, the team at Joy's Life are working with these fun Cri-Kits pens. I was a little intimidated at first, but once I got going, these pens are so much fun!

For this card I used, the pink and purple metallic pens. I used my gypsy to create a two layered document and drew the frame in pink and the leaves and border in purple.
After the lines were drawn, I used some clearsnap smooch accent ink to color in the designs. For the frame, I added some smooch glitz after I colored it in with marker, because I didn't have the right color of smooch ;)

The cardstock is bazzill. Some prima bling and a bazzill resin flower complete the card.

Deer friend Joy's Life card

I am so excited to finally use this stamp! I loved this stamp from the Wildlife Puns stamp set since I got the set, but I couldn't find a deer to use it with. Then I got my gypsy...
This little deer is from the cindy loo cartridge, cut with my gypsy on my little shoebox paper.
The papers are all My Little Shoebox Happy Go Lucky. The stamp is of  course Joy's Life. The ink is clearsnap.

I kept this card simple because I just loved the deer and the bit of scalloped die cut paper. I kept thinking it needed something else, but everything I tried seemed to be 'too much.'
Oh well, I always was a clean and simple gal!

Altered macadamia nut can for Joy's Life

This week Joy asked us to make some gift packaging. I was excited to use my new gypsy, and my new Yummy puns set, so I came up with this altered can of macadamia nuts. I thought the idea of chocolate covered macadamia nuts went perfectly with the stamp. Even though there aren't any actually left in this can. ;)

I left the plastic lid kind of plain because it already matched the My Little Shoebox Up in the Trees papers. Also, I never know what to do with lids like this when altering something. Should I try to cover the sides with paper? ribbon? paint it? leave it plain?

So, the sentiment stamp is from Joy's life, of course. The circle stamp is Kaisercraft. The Inks are clearsnap. The papers are My little shoebox. The tree is cut using the gypsy and cricut, and I think the cartridge was 3 birds something. I can't quite remember because my new gypsy came with a ton of cartridges already loaded on it and I am still getting to know it. (I got it used from ebay)
