thanksgiving card

I created this card using the image from the Magic in the air blog and following the challenge to do a monochromatic card. I went with orangey brown. This card is also for the Pink Elephant challenge to do something about being thankful, and for the use your stash card to use the word thanks and some ribbon. Dont know if thanksgiving counts as using the word thanks, but I dont use a lot of thank you cards. The sketch is from the Bo Bunny blog. Papers are bo bunny. oops, bo bunny challenge is to use the sketch to make a christmas card. oh well, no chance to win, but I still think it is one of my best cards!

A giveaway RAK because I am so thankful!

I have been so lucky to win lots of prizes lately and to have a huge collection of scrap supplies, so I have decided to do a giveaway. I am not sure if I will have one or two, but trust me there will be some good stuff in there. One thing that for sure will be in there, is one sheet of each paper from the new Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend and Earth Love lines. I was lucky enough to win these collections packs a month or so ago, and I decided that I didn't need TWO sheets of every paper, so I put one sheet of each design aside to give away. Other than that, there will be random new and gently used rub-ons, stickers, chipboard, you get the idea. I'll be picking a winner (or maybe two depending on how much stuff I can get together) on Thanksgiving. Due to shipping costs, I can only send a big package to US residents but if you are international and I pick you as a winner, I will make up a special smaller envelope. (It'll still be awesome!)

So, post a comment to this post for one chance, and if you are a follower of my blog, you will get another chance.

another christmas card

sketch from pricsilla styles blog, papers are pink paislee, stamp unknown, stickles, kaiser pearls and american crafts ribbon. I also used this page from the paper crafts magazine to inspire me to do the square mosaic part. The magazine inspiration was for the method playground blog. it was fun because I rarely pull out my magazines.

ACOT Sizzix reveal

Today is my November reveal at ACOT. I was sooooo excited to get this new Sizzix Texture Boutique embossing machine to work with this month. I have been wanting an embossing machine for a while and thought about getting the cuttlebug but never bit the bullet and got it. Little did I know that I was just waiting for THIS! I love it! it's cute, small, portable, affordable and has some really great folders to go with it!

So here is a sneak peek at my reveal:
