Joy's Life Wedding Card

I used the Joyful Hearts stamp set to create the background for this card. I stamped the hearts in Clearsnap Top Boss twinkle embossing ink, and embossed them with Clearsnap Top Boss opalescent clear embossing powder for a big shimmer.
The hearts are from the Joyful Hearts set and the sentiment is from the Everyday Occasions set. The vellum is not as yellow as it looks in this picture. The shimmer on it has a slightly golden cast, which is what is showing up in this photo.
The lace rose is from a wholesale fabric place. They have a bin of scraps and you can dig through it and get 6 big pieces of lace scraps for about $1. This is part of one of those scraps.

Mittens Joy's Life card

I made this card with my cricut. I cut the card and mittens from the Winter Wonderland cartridge. I added a piece of silver (frosty) vellum behind the cut out design of the card.
The stamp is from the Oh Christmas Puns. and oh how appropriate is this card for this week? Brrrr. The mittens are up on foam tape and a little jewel completes this simple card.
Cardstock is Bazzil. Vellum is Woodware. Ink and embossing powder are Clearsnap. Stamp is, of course, Joy's Life.

Joy's Life and Cricut Card

Joy asked us to create cards with a new technique. I decided to try using mists to make a background paper in a unique way. First you wet a glossy cardstock then shake off the excess water. Next you add the mists by spraying a little, but mostly by taking the mister part out and flicking the stick to create droplets of color.

Once that is done, you can lay a sheet of transparency on top and push the colors around with your fingers until you get the look you desire. Just don't push them around too much or they blend all together. Finally, take the transparency off and let dry.

I used stamps from the Everyday Occasions set. The black cardstock was cut with my cricut using the paper lace cartridge. The flower is Webster's pages and the ribbon is may arts. The ink is clearsnap and the bling is hydrangea hippo.

Joy's Life Mini Book Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joy's Life Mini Book Blog Hop!

I created a recipe book. I had planned for each page to have a cricut cut vegetable from the Savory cartridge, but at the last minute the cord for my Gypsy broke so I had to go in a different direction. I wanted it to be easy to add new recipes so I made it into a ring bound book, and made the pages the same size as large index cards. I used Bella Blvd papers and stickers, and some American Crafts thickers.

I used my Joy's Life stamp 'a little something Yummy' from the Tag You're it ONE set on the cover. I created a little banner for it and used clearsnap black pigment ink.

You should have arrived here from June's blog, if not, you might want to stop back at the beginning. , otherwise your next stop is Staci.

Altered Candy Bag with Joy's Life

This week Joy asked us to share some new products. I just won these Glassine bags from SRM stickers in a pre-CHA giveaway, so I thought I would try them out. I created this little candy bag using the largest Glassine bag and a strip of Teresa Collins patterned paper.

I used the You are a Treasure sentiment from the Joy's Life You're so Punny set and created a treasure chest tag with my Cricut and the Life is a Beach cartridge.
The gems are My Mind's Eye. The Ink is Clearsnap. The ribbon is May Arts. The punch is Fiskars.
