Unity Coloring Contest Card

I was inspired by this free Unity digi stamp!! Yes!! I am getting my mojo back!!!

Anyway, I resized the image and moved the sentiment a little bit. I printed it out twice and used foam tape for dimension. This gorgeous image is colored with faber castell pastels.  The paper is Carta Bella So Noted

Eyelet Outlet first post!

I am so excited to share with you my latest creations and my new Design Team! I am now designing for Eyelet Outlet!

For my first creation, I made this vintage sewing themed card using one of these adorable thread brads. All things sewing seem to be pretty hot right now because when I looked into my stash, I found all sorts of things that I wanted to incorporate! I gave the brad a spot of honor on the sentiment label and added a real crocheted doily, some pins and some sewing themed stamped images.

What else is hot right now? Hexagons or honeycombs! I just got this fun embossing folder and thought it went great with these Bumble bee brads for a bright spring card.

My Little Shoebox and Vintage Shop

Today I want to share with you some projects that I created last month for the My Little Shoebox blog. I worked with the Vintage shop line to create this altered birdhouse. This line is sweet and pretty and so much fun to work with!

I also created this layout, using the Vintage Shop papers and the matching Unity stamps. I embossed the stamps with clearsnap embossing powder. For the background I used a crafter's workshop plastic template and misted over it.

Thanks for looking! Be sure to check out more details on my post at the My Little Shoebox blog.

My Little Shoebox and Unity Blog hop

Hello and thanks for hopping with us today. We are so pleased to share our new Co-Branded stamps with Unity Stamp Co. Make sure you leave a comment on each blog to win one of the fabulous prizes from Unity Stamp Co and My Little Shoebox. Winners will be chosen at random from the participating blogs.

This is the fabulous stamp set that I got to work with! I love how there are two doilies - a negative and a positive! I decided to make a card and heat emboss the doily stamp. I love the way the embossing makes it look like lace, with the bumpy texture.

I used the paper and sticker from the Vintage shop line and popped the sticker up on some foam tape. I loved these stamps so much that I kept them out on my desk for my next Vintage shop project which will be showing up on the My Little Shoebox blog later this month.

Now it’s time for me to send you on over to Jimmi’s blog

Unity sketch of the month card

Here is my second card with my new Unity kit of the month stamps. This is for the sketch of the month challenge. I used my brand new home made stamp positioner for this card - to get the hexagons all lined up properly. I just used 3 duplo blocks to make a corner and voila! I used it with a piece of transparency and it works like a charm!

Here's the sketch

The stamps are from the Unity June kit of the month. The inks are Clearsnap stephanie barnard dye inks.

Unity stamped summer card

I just started subscribing to the Unity kit of the month club, because I saw June's kit and fell in love. (July's kit is just as great!) I find that I have trouble choosing stamps for myself, but if someone just gives them to me, I often find unexpected inspiration.

So, this is the first card that I created with my Unity kit of the month.
I stamped the strawberry in Clearsnap Stephanie Barnard dye ink in artichoke. Then I colored in the strawberry and the leaves with my prismacolor markers. I had originally intended to use the strawberry patterned paper from this Jillibean soup collection, but decided that it was overkill in the strawberry department, so I went a little more subtle. The papers are Jillibean Soup thought.

These bright colors and the strawberry and even the stitching, remind me of summer. This is for the monthly Unity challenge, which this month is to create something summery.
