just one card

Well, I scrapped A LOT this weekend and I can't wait to share my creations with you all, but I can't just yet. There are some things that I am really excited about but I have to wait a week or two to share. Oh well, here is what I can share. This card was for a good friend of mine for her birthday. I used a sketch from Truly Scrumptious and the challenge to use strawberries and cream which just happened to be the same challenge as the one at the cupcake craft blog this week. So here you go, the digi stamp is from laboiteasurprise

look what I won and an album

I won (by random drawing) this cool maya road look from the paper crafts blog. it is super awesome since I have been addicted to mists lately.

And here is an album that I made for my grandmother for mother's day, and also for the KaiserCraft Design team contest. They havent announced it yet, but Im not holding my breath. Either way though, I do have to say that I kinda love how this album turned out. Click on the image to see the rest of it at ACOT.

day off with ellie yesterday

yesterday I took the day off of work to go to Ellie's preschool graduation, finish a scrapbooking project and then take her to her rehearsal for her ballet recital.

The graduation was cute. (pictures -probably in layouts- to follow) They recited a poem, sang the ABCs in English, Hebrew and French, counted to ten in English, Spanish and Hebrew and sang a song. Then they got their diplomas, flipped their tassels from one side to the other, and had a picnic.

I finished my scrapbooking stuff. Which is good because it is due in a couple of weeks and I am not going to have ANY time to do it after yesterday. I even took the photos and got them uploaded! woohoo!

THEN we went to her recital rehearsal. Mommy read the schedule wrong and we got there an hour and a half early. She had a couple of snacks, but by the time it was her turn, she was tired and hungry and bored. So, I had a tough time getting her to get up on stage, but informing her that her cousin Grace just did it last week and reminding her that they are going to make a video out of it that she can then show to Grace, really helped. She got up there! Honestly, I don't even really care how well or not well she did, Im just thrilled that she got up and did it, and even looked like she was enjoying it after the first 30 seconds.

If you are interested, here is the video. I wont be sharing one from the actual recital since we arent allowed to video there. Ellie is the one on the left.
