Ok, so ages ago my mom and I decided that we should open an etsy shop. I set it up but never posted anything in it. Finally today I decided to go ahead and list a couple things. So far there are only a few cards of mine, but look for more fun things in the coming weeks. Oh and check it out here: Nana's Sugar
And now, as promised a few photos from this weekend.

scrap it forward layout
well, I had an entirely UN-scrappy weekend and it was AWESOME! I havent gone a whole week(end) without scrapping in ages! We had so much family fun that I didnt even miss it! (until Sunday night when I realized that I wouldnt have anything to post about this week)
But, lucky day, today is the day for the reveal of the scrap it forward challenge pages at ACherryOnTop.com. If you dont know, it's sort of like whisper down the lane, we start with a layout and the first person lifts it, then the second person lifts theirs and so on and then we see how much it changed at the end. So you have to keep it secret while the game is going on so that it doesnt influence the people who are still scrapping. Anyway, I am really happy with mine. LOVE these glitz rub-ons so much! Its funny because I got them from the owner of memory lane scrapbook shop when I was at a crop and she was just handing out random samples to us that she didnt want. I never would have bought the sheet for myself because it was one big swirl, but once I had it, I started cutting it up and using bits and I love it so much that I think I am going to buy myself another one!
so without further ado, here is my layout. lots of sass lass here and a bit of prima.
later this week since I dont really have any other pages to share, maybe I will post a few pics from our family fun weekend.
oh and I have a secret that I am dying to share with you all, but I can't just yet, so keep your eyes out for that too.

Bad Girls - ooh lala!
I love bad girls! Unfortunately I havent been able to get a class yet, but I am totally coveting this one:
I mean, how awesome is that? I love how bad girls just makes me think outside the box and totally pushes the envelope away from regular scrapping and into ART. check it out, I know you will love it too!

louvre page
foHere is another new page. This one is for my DT work at creative inkling - they specified that we had to use stuff from the travel section of the store and I picked this great creative imaginations transparency. And this is also for the Butterfly Crafts travel inspired layout contest.
so, what did I do here - this is kind of an interesting layout. I couldnt decide how best to showcase the transparency and eventually decided that it is really vibrant and at it's best with just a plain piece of white cardstock for the background. But I really wanted to use the glimmer screens that I got as part of this project. So I made the frame using one of the glimmer screens. First I sprayed a scrap piece of white cardstock with gold glimmer mist and let that dry. Then I put the glimmer screen down and sprayed it again with suede glimmer mist and let THAT dry. then I cut out the resulting frame shape and layered a matching glimmer glass mocha piece on top to frame my photo. I also used glimmer glass on two of the corners. Then I pulled out the letters. I wanted to play up the gold elements in the transparency so I stamped the title with embossing ink then sprinkled with gold embossing powder and then heated it. However, I had accidentally stuck the letters to a sheet of plastic that I thought I could pull them off of easily to heat, but I couldnt. So I just went ahead and heated them on the plastic and it curled all up. When it started I thought, oh well I will just cut them off. But then I thought it looked kind of cool like that so I sprayed the letters and attached plastic with more gold glimmer mist and let that dry. Then I adhered it to my page with glossy accents and made a matching piece for the corner to tie it all together.
oh and then I journaled right on the transparency with a copic journaling pen.

the beauty of innocence
This page is for my Design team work at Scrapbook Dreamer - all the supplies except the letters and journaling spot came from their site. and I used a sketch from capture these sketches blog
walk in the woods
This page is for the twisted sketch blog. I used some papers from the scrapperie kit, prima and my little shoebox letters, jenni bowlin journaling spot, and some digi stuff from a kit that I can't remember the name of, but I can get it off my computer later. oh and an autumn leaves stamp set and staz on ink as the twisted part of the sketch.
simple pleasures
This page is for my YMBD 92 days of summer project. I used a sketch from Heather over there. It is also for the Noel Mignon 2 page challenge. Like Noel said, 2 pagers are hard, but I have been getting better at them lately with all these 92 days of summer challenges and I am rather proud of this one. And last but not least, this is for the Sweet Pea Scraps square photo challenge.
I made this page using supplies from my Scrapperie July kit.

recycle calendar
this calendar is for a couple of challenges but I dont have time to go into that. So for now, most of the pages were based on the sketch for this week from 2 sketches for you blog
and this leaf was made with the paper casting technique detailed on the scrapping out loud challenge blog, for their challenge this week. It looks better in person.
and here is the cover.

shopping this morning
So, this morning I got into work, checked email and then went shopping. lol. oh it is going to be a long day since I took my lunch break first thing. But oh well. Wanna see what I got?
well first I tried on this perfume, which I am thinking of asking for for Christmas. It smells exactly like orange blossoms and reminds me of Arizona. Oh I loved it when the orange blossoms bloomed.
And I went into Gymboree for the
first day of Gymbucks redemption. I assumed I would get sale stuff, that's why I went today - like everyone else - but I didnt find anything good on the sale rack. So it turns out that I braved the crowds for nothing. Man that store was jammed! I kept running into people. Ok, to be fair there werent really that many people in there, just that the store is small to begin with and there were kids running everywhere and of course all us moms wanted to look at the same things, in the same SIZE. who knew that size 5 is the most popular size? or is it just that it's the size my kid wears. Because doesnt it always seem that the size my kid wears is the most popular?
anyway, this is what I got:
the pink shirt looks a bit like a dress. Its perfect for those days when ellie wants to wear a dress and I dont want her to. She will say it's a dress and I will tell her she just has to wear pants with it. And the brown dress is so soft, like pjs! I also got pink leggings to go under it. So I figure when it gets cooler she can wear the leggings and a sweater. So, yeah I spent more than I wanted and got less than I expected because I picked full price stuff, but still I got $25 off so I can't complain and these are things she will actually use.

gotta have gear
It's All about me
I got the inspiration for this page from a lot of different challenges. Most of them I missed the deadline for, but I just want to give them a shout out anyway. I used the lyrics from the theme song to Cheers on the notebook paper and that was from the scrapping the music blog. I used one main black and white photo and that was from last week's 52 challenges on acherryontop. the colors came from the acherryontop 'use your wedding colors' challenge. The main premise for this layout came from the Creative Therapy blog prompt: "did your life turn out how you planned" and that was from a couple weeks ago. The title came from the Gutter girls challenge prompt. The sketch came from Capture These Sketches (but I turned it on its side). and last but not least -the use of paint came from the cafe mojo challenge, to 'get messy' and boy did I EVER get messy! I used black paint and bubble wrap for the background. then I used black paint around the edges of the background and the photo. Then I glued the part of the bag and fabric down before covering the whole thing in a bit of gesso. The journaling is hidden because it's private.
jump
this is from a sketch for the design by diana blog and for the Scrap Whispers challenge to make a layout about water.
and the papers are from the scrapperie july kit
I think that diamond paper is pretty bold, don't you?

you're the best card
this card also uses the Scrapperie July kit - man I love this kit! and it is for the Truly Scrumptious blog sketch challenge, oh, oops I just re-read the challenge and I messed it up. you were supposed to only use one color. oh well, the card is still great.
for you card
this card is for the sketch saturday blog challenge and for the flourishes blog 'cut it out and pop it up' challenge. I used a Greeting Farm fairy stamp, copic markers and the Scrapperie July kit for this card.

the castle
I wanted to keep this one simple and focus on the photos. I used the my mind's eye papers and die cuts along with a chatterbox brad and some prima letters. This is for the summer fun challenge at ACOT to use girlish papers, brads, chipboard alphas and the word 'love' somewhere on the layout. And I used the sketch from Capture These Sketches day 7.

Joy in the little things

This is for the cafe mojo 4th of july fun challenge and for the OLW "Joy" challenge and for the Noel Mignon summer traditions challenge.

1st party
This page uses websters pages papers, fancy pants chipboard, misc ribbon, american crafts thickers, transparency and bling from heidi swapp CHA 2008 make and take, hand and machine sewing, slice, and colorbox ink.
The stitching around the chipboard leaves is for the method challenge blog chipboard stitching challenge. That took FOREVER, but it looks pretty cool dont you think? I also used the sketch from the Twisted Sketches blog. The challenges there are really cool because you get a sketch then a challenge on top of it to give it a little 'twist'. The twist this time was to add a transparency. Oh and the deco border on the yellow paper is for part of the sketch but also fits the Its Scraptacular challenge for this month. Its scraptacular is my newfound LSS, but they have an online store too. And last but not least, one of my new favorite blogs: Pile it on. As you can tell I love to combine challenges, it just makes it that much more challenging dont you think? and Pile it on is all about combining challenges. Their challenge this week is to use 3 different embellishments, plus at least one other challenge. I used ribbon, chipboard, transparency and stitching.

hello sunshine card
this card uses technique tuesday petal stamps, misc chipboard circle, bazzill cardstock, my mind's eye paper, ki and making memories stickers, and lots of colorbox ink, and foam tape for dimension. Yes, in the upper left corner I cut out the sun, that green is my carpet peeking through.
This is for the flourishes blog challenge to make a card about the feel of the sea, the cps blog sketch, the spoon full of sugar blog summer card challenge and (yeah I really packed this one) the pink elephant favorite color combo challenge - I am loving blue and yellow-orange lately.
