My Little Shoebox sketch challenge
I just love how this page turned out! this is for the my little shoebox sketch challenge and almost everything here is from my little shoebox. I used a bunch of punched circles to make the scallops. The ribbon is may arts. the foam letters are american crafts. eveyrthing else is MLS.
featured at club ck!
two of my scrapdango may kit creations were featured this week at club ck. check it out HERE.
Nikki Sivils sketch card + other challenges
I used the nikki sivils GDT sketch for this card. Along with the papers from her 'it's raining, it's pouring' line. I also used my brand new paper lace cricut cartridge, some clearsnap ink, a sizzix embossing folder, a chipboard sun from ymbd, some glossy accents, and some ribbon from really reasonable ribbon.

Welcome to the Dango Girls' Blog Hop. I'm so glad you hopped on over to my pad. We've got a lot of fun coming your way for the weekend and through the week. There will also be other ways to earn draws, and one lucky person is going to win a fantastic prize of one of Scrapdango's fabulous kits chock full of scrappy goodness. Here is the breakdown of how you can earn draws.

About Me:
My name is Megan aka megamay and I am thrilled to be on the Scrapdango design team this term! I work as a software engineer and live outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my husband, 5 year old daughter, and our 8 year old Beagle. I have been scrapping for about 6 years, since my husband and I came back from a 3 month backpacking trip to Europe. I started scrapbooking with a goal of preserving memories, but now I do it because I love EVERYTHING about it. I love the feel and smell of the papers. I love the online community. I love preserving my memories and expressing my creativity. I love having alone time and being able to relax through artistic creation. Yep, I love it all!
I describe my style as layered and detailed with lots of color and plenty of clean lines and whitespace. How's that for a mouthful? And totally clear as mud right? You will see what I mean though as you get to know my work. My favorite manufacturers right now are Webster's Pages, Sassafras Lass and My Mind's Eye - probably in that order although that changes sometimes. I love using texture, in fact I can't make a flat page EVER! There has to be some dimension and some softness - whether it comes from ribbons, or distressing. Oh and speaking of distressing: I ink EVERYTHING! It is a rare occurrence that the edge of a paper escapes my ink pads.
And now you want to head on to Ellen's blog.

Webster's and Pagemaps page
this was the page that was featured. This is also for the pagemaps sketch contest. Which is being sponsored by our very own A Cherry On Top!
Here is a trick for the pink trim. It is a double sided ruffle - meaning that the way it starts out is about an inch and a half wide with the ruffle on both sides with some stitching down the middle. I found it to be too wide for what I wanted here, (and I wanted to make it last a little longer) so I used my sewing machine to sew another line of stitching parallel to the first. Then I was able to cut between the two lines of stitching and get two strips of half ruffle.
and one more trick, I used good old fashioned pencils on the corners of this page. I shaded them then smudged them to look like a vignette. I did that on most of the patterned papers too.
I won at SRM stickers!
this is the page that I entered. I used the sketchy thursdays sketch and rotated it. And that flower is pink, not red. I dont know why it looks red here. This was also for the BPS crop challenge to 'go off the page' so I cut the white background down and made the 12inch black photo strip go off the page.

Nikki Sivils Page
here is the sketch
I altered it a bit, by substituting patterned papers for the extra photos since I only had one photo. I also moved the title down. I machine stitched around the outside of the page and around the edges of the main blocks of paper. I used foam tape to pop up the clouds and the turtle - which I hand cut from the cut-outs paper. I also added some glossy accents to the turtle and the circle. Oh, and I colored blue under the punched edges to bring to mind rain.
everyday girl
I rotated the sketch.
My Mind's Eye card sketch
The chipboard is maya road, the stickers are SRM and the numbers are american crafts. Also tim holtz ink and martha stewart punch and bazzill cs
this is also for the magic in the air challenge, the kaboodle blog challenge - b is for birthday stickers and the phindy's place challenge. oh yeah I embossed the chipboard with my sizzix texture boutique. I wasn't sure it was going to work but it did! I will be embossing chipboard a lot more often!
mother's day card
it is for the SPCC challenge and the cute card thursday challenge and I used the pink elephant sketch. sorry the colors are so bad, the light was too bright, but I did the best I could

Mother's Day Card 1
Here is a trick for the trim that I used on the flowers.
This is also for the Really Reasonable Ribbon - 2 laces or trims challenge. I used the pink trim to make the flowers, and the green ric rac for the stems. And it is for the Creative Card Crew - for mom challenge and the dare to be sassy handmade flowers challenge. and the papertake weekly anything goes challenge. And also for the cupcake craft - begins with C challenge - I used a cluster of flowers. And for the Flourishes release week challenge to make a message to mom the focal point. I'm not sure it ended up totally the focal point, but I used this word art because I love the message - It says thanks mom, but in between it has lots of items that a child is thankful to a mom for. Also for the Just Magnolia, Anything goes with option of stitching. (My stitching is real)
Supplies: Webster's Pages Trendsetter papers and trims, Bazzill Cardstock, Clearsnap Cat Eye Charcoal Chalk ink, fabritac
