oh, I kind of adore how this card turned out! I used a
sassy designs digi stamp and a bunch of challenges as a sort of recipe.
I added the sentiment digitally before printing. and since I lack those cool nestabilities dies, I cut my own ovals and created the scalloped border using a bunch of small circles.
This is for the
really reasonable ribbon green theme challenge, and I was thrilled to break open my first order from them for this green grosgrain ribbon. It came in a delightful assortment pack, which I normally wouldn't buy, but I was running REALLY low on green ribbons and I never think to buy them. It was perfect! I got a yellow pack too and love it too!
There were lots of challenges out there all about green this week because of saint patty's day. I thought I was going to have to forgo all of them, thinking that mostly green wouldn't work for anything else, and I dont really do saint patty's day, but this turned out lovely! The
crafty creations blog had a geen and blue feminine birthday challenge, and that is what inspired me. The
sassy studios challenge this week was to use green also. Flourishes also had a green challenge as their
timeless tuesday challenge this week.
Bee Crafty and
Cute Card thursday and
Lollipop crafts added in the spring and florals theme.
Robyns fetish asked for punches of dies, which I already had from the scallops. And
digi tuesday requested celebrations as the theme, which gave me the type of card - birthday.
The sketch came from the
tuesday morning challenge blog.
