Joy's Life Elephant Card

Joy's Life came out with THREE new stamp sets! I couldn't wait to get my hands on them and get to work! I had this adorable elephant in my cricut library and wanted to use it. So, I made this card with a carnival theme.

I used the Wishing you TONS of FUN sentiment from the brand new Punny Animals stamp set.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Stamp: Joy's life and Hero arts (background stamp for the border)
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye
Ink: Clearsnap

Joy's Life Ice Cream cone

Today I have a fun cricut treat box to share with you. I got this ice cream cone pattern from the Sweet Treat Boxes cartridge. It was a lot easier than it looks! The top opens and there is an area above the cone that you can put treats in!

The papers are Bazzill. I cut this cone at 8 inches and it ended up being about that tall. I only added a few small things - the tag which is Maya Road and stamped with clearsnap ink and the Joy's Life stamp. I also added the eyelet outlet brad to it. The ric rac is wrights and the twine is the twinery.

The sentiment is from the Joy's Life Mother and Daughter stamp set.The ink is clearsnap.

Joy's Life Tag set

This set of tags was created with the Tag You're It ONE and TWO sets.

I used the image stamps with watermark ink to create background images and then stamped the sentiments over top with nice thick pigment ink. All of the inks are Clearsnap. The papers are Jillibean Soup. The flowers are Hydrangea Hippo. The clothespins are Canvas Corp and the ribbon is may arts. I cut the tags with my cricut using the tags bags boxes and more cartridge, then I trimmed them down because they were a little too long.

Joy's Life Feb Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joy's life 3D animals and card folds blog hop! You should have arrived here from Cyndy's blog. If not, you might want to go back and start at the beginning to make sure you don't miss any inspiration or prizes!!

I have been wanting to use this adorable skunk cut from the cricut camping critters cartridge ever since I saw the 'that stinks' stamp on Joy's Wild life puns set

I didn't make it 3D but I did make it interactive! I cut along the edge of the skunk's tail so that you can pull out a hidden part with the sentiment on it.

This is what it looks like pulled out.

Mittens Joy's Life card

I made this card with my cricut. I cut the card and mittens from the Winter Wonderland cartridge. I added a piece of silver (frosty) vellum behind the cut out design of the card.
The stamp is from the Oh Christmas Puns. and oh how appropriate is this card for this week? Brrrr. The mittens are up on foam tape and a little jewel completes this simple card.
Cardstock is Bazzil. Vellum is Woodware. Ink and embossing powder are Clearsnap. Stamp is, of course, Joy's Life.

Altered Candy Bag with Joy's Life

This week Joy asked us to share some new products. I just won these Glassine bags from SRM stickers in a pre-CHA giveaway, so I thought I would try them out. I created this little candy bag using the largest Glassine bag and a strip of Teresa Collins patterned paper.

I used the You are a Treasure sentiment from the Joy's Life You're so Punny set and created a treasure chest tag with my Cricut and the Life is a Beach cartridge.
The gems are My Mind's Eye. The Ink is Clearsnap. The ribbon is May Arts. The punch is Fiskars.

Joy's Life Christmas gift box

Joy asked us to make treat holders this week. I was stumped at first, but then remembered these adorable little 3-D houses from the winter woodland cricut cartridge. They are made to be just decorations, but I thought it would make a great treat holder if I added a bottom.

The stamp is from the Oh Christmas Puns Joy's life set and embossed with clearsnap embossing powder.

For the bottom, I just traced the square bottom of the house, made it slightly smaller and then added 'wings' around it (just made the outside about 3/4 of an inch larger and folded on the original line. I cut the corners to allow the fold and to create tabs for adhesive. Then I slipped it up inside the house.

It would probably be good to hold this from the bottom. Using cardboard for the base would make it more sturdy. Mine can only hold light candies or meringues, nothing heavy like chocolate chip cookies. You can also adhere the base to the inside of the house to keep it 'sealed'.

The papers are Fancy Pants. The punch is fiskars. The bling is Queen and Co. The twine is Divine Twine.

this is entered in the simon says stamp and show house rules challenge and the flourishes timeless tuesday anything christmas but a card and the crafty creations winter scene challenge

Joy's Life Tags and Bags blog hop

In this hop we'll each be making a bag and a tag to go with it. You know what is great about this hop? We can use the bags and tags for our own gift giving! YAY!

I cut this bag with my cricut using the tags bags boxes and more cartridge. I cut it from two sheets of My Little Shoebox patterned paper, which I then glued together to provide stability and a contrasting color on the inside.

I used the 'Hello Sweetie' stamp from the Joy's Life Yummy Puns set. I also used the To: and From: stamps from the Tag You're It One set.

The Tag is also cut with the same cartridge. The inks are clearsnap. The twine is the Twinery. Everything else is My Little Shoebox.

You should have arrived here from Jennie's blog. If not, you might want to go back and start from the beginning since there is lots of inspiration and prizes to be won. Otherwise, you are heading onto Lori's blog.

Fangtastic Birthday Wishes

I know a few people with birthdays right around Halloween, including Ellie! So, I couldn't wait to use this stamp. Joy asked us to make 3-D projects this week, and I found the pattern for this coffin box from martha stewart. It was so easy! (although I bet a cricut one would have been easier)

I used pink paislee paper from last year or the year before. The bat was cut with my cricut using the Chic and Scary cartridge. The stamp is from the Joy's Life Halloween Puns set. I used clearsnap pigment ink in blackbird to stamp the sentiment then embossed it in black also.

Joy's Life Embossed Halloween Card

I had this card in my head for a while. I am always trying to come up with simple, classy Halloween cards. When Joy asked us to use embossing this week, it seemed like the perfect match for this style.

I used the Oct 31st stamp from the Halloween Puns set. I embossed it in black on the kraft paper, then embossed it in clear, in a pattern on the black card itself. I love using embossing to create subtly textured patterns.

The spider web was cut using my cricut and the Chic and Scary cartridge. The inks and embossing powders are all Clearsnap. I drew the spiders and their threads by hand.

Joy's Life Halloween Blog Hop

I wanted to keep this card simple and elegant. I chose a purple, black and kraft color scheme. I cut the witch  with my cricut and the Chic and Scary cartridge. Then I stamped the 'Boo' stamp repeatedly on the kraft paper. I adhered the witch cut out over the stamped paper with foam tape.

I used the 'Boo' and the 'Having a bad spell?' stamps from the Halloween Puns set.

You should have arrived here from Amy. If not, you might want to go back to the beginning to make sure you don't miss any of the fabulous inspiration and prizes. Otherwise, you are heading on to Jennie!

Best Witches treat box

Joy asked us this week to make Halloween treat holders. I chose this stamp because I like that it works for a Halloween birthday! I used a paper mache box that was kraft color and came in a set from ACMoore. I covered it with patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and Basic Grey.
The stamp is from the Joy's Life Halloween Puns set
The die cuts are from the Teresa Collins chic and scary cricut cartridge. the bling is My Mind's eye.

A-Maize-ing Joy's Life card

I just adore this pun! The challenge this week was to use Orange, green and brown. I used this pun from the It's All Fall puns set and an image from my cricut.
The papers are from We R Memory Keepers. The ink is clearsnap. I embossed the card with a spellbinders embossing folder.

My Little Shoebox DREAM banner with Aiko

I made this banner, using the Aiko line for the My little Shoebox blog. For more details you can see my post over there HERE. I wanted the feel of this banner to reflect the theme, so I made the strings of cherry blossoms hanging whimsically like rain drops. A little bit of shine adds to the whimsy.

Joy's Life Thanksgiving Leaves card

When Joy asked us to use leaves this week, I couldn't wait to break out my new (used) gypsy and see what I could find on there. I got it from Ebay pre-loaded with a bunch of cartridges. Sure, I have a list of the carts that are on there, but I don't have all the images memorized. This cut was a pair of leaves. I cut two pairs from each of two We R Memory Keepers patterned papers.

I wanted to evoke the idea of falling leaves. After I got them on there, I decided it needed something - but not too much, so I outlined the leaves. Then the sentiment needed something, so I underlined it. Love this sentiment from the It's All Fall stamp set

this is for the dare to be sassy challenge to use fall colors and the papertake weekly autumn challenge.

Joy's Life It's All Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joy's Life "It's All Fall" Blog hop!
This month we are celebrating the new fall stamp set - which is my new favorite! Check it out! How cute is that?!

I could not wait to use this fun stamp! Here is what I created:

It's a lunch bag with a turkey that I die cut with my cricut and the adorable 'Gobble' stamp.
I had intended to use this to create a hostess gift or something, but now I'm thinking it might be cute to use it as a lunch bag and surprise my daughter one day, near thanksgiving.

You should have arrived here from Lori
and if not, you might want to go back to the beginning and start at Joy's blog. (There are prizes all along the way!)

Here is the list for reference.

But before you go anywhere... Here is my prize (US residents only please):

This is modeling paste. It's my new favorite thing! I have been using it with stencils to create raised designs, but there are a million uses for it! I need to try putting a layer down and using an embossing folder or something to create a texture in it.

All you have to do is be or become a follower and leave me a comment, I will pick a random winner! Easy peasy!

and now you are off to the lovely Stacey's blog!
