Viva Las VegaStamps! DT Tryout

I loved working with Viva Las Vegas stamps so much when the Clearsnap team did a swap with them, that I decided I had to give the design team call a go.

So, here is the project that I created with the Viva Las Vegas stamps from the Clearsnap\VLVS swap. This altered mini canvas (my first) is kind of out of the norm for me, but the stamps just inspired me so much to create this dr. who / sort of steampunk themed piece. It didn't turn out quite how I had it in my head, so I plan to give it, or something similar another go when I get a chance.

Lots of clearsnap products here - sprays, inks, smooch, etc. Even the phone booth is painted with clearsnap ink. All the stamps are Viva Las vegas.

This card uses one of my favorite Hero arts stamps; it's so versatile! Of course the inks are Clearsnap.

This one is a personal favorite of mine. The stripes remind me of gum drops! Impression Obsession butterfly stamp and Clearsnap inks, glitter and smooch accent ink. The sentiment is Hero Arts.

Joy's life Hero Blog Hop

Welcome to the Super and Everyday hero blog hop, featuring stamps from the Joy's Life My Hero stamp set. If you didn't come from Maria's blog, you might want to go back to the beginning because there are lots of prizes and inspiration.

I created this card with some Bazzill cardstock, some Clearsnap embossing powder and ink, my Joy's life stamp (of course) and ... drinking straws!

I glued the straws in a pattern on a scrap piece of paper then snipped the ends to create a straight line.

Here is the blog lineup:

Clearsnap stephanie barnard card

I made this card for the Clearsnap Stephanie Barnard product spotlight.

I used some Stephanie Barnard dye inks to stamp the branch, first in the lighter ink, then in the darker for the details.

For the background, I stamped and embossed the design in clear, and then misted over it with the Stephanie Barnard dye ink spray in blueberry.

Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill

Other: Stamps of life by stephani barnard stamps

Clearsnap Misted Starburst Card

Today I want to share this fun card that I created for Clearsnap using their Smooch Spritz mists and Crafter's Mini accent inks. I used a Crafter's Workshop mask for the background. The Crafter's ink minis are great because the color is opaque and covered the mist perfectly. I was glad that I didn't need to mask!

On this card, I started out by laying down the template and misting over it with gold Smooch spritz. Next, I stamped with Chalk ink, using the Impression Obsession and Hero arts stamps. Finally, I used the Crafter's Accent ink mini's to color in the stamped image. The Crafter's inks require heat to give them a permanent set, so I heated in between each color, to avoid smearing. I think I also heated after a couple of petals on the flower.

Bo Bunny Clearsnap Layout

I took one look at the bright colors in the Bo Bunny double dot 6x6 pack and decided that it would go great with some Stephanie Barnard dye ink sprays. I had a little bit of altering to do, to get my title and flowers to all match, but the sprays and some crafter's ink did the trick!

I misted the flowers with the dye ink sprays to make them bright and fun!

For the title, I inked the back of the acrylic letters in 'chilling' with crafter's ink and then heat set it. That caused the acrylic to bend a little, but I like the funky look it gives.

I also misted the background cardstock with a combo of bubblegum and some splashes of guava.

Supplies:
Clearsnap Stephanie Barnard dye ink sprays in Bubblegum, Guava, Banana, and Tangerine.
Clearsnap Colorbox Crafter's Ink in Sweet Pea and spiced plum

Joy's life dimension card

Today I have a super easy card for you with fun dimensional elements!

I used the sentiment from the My Hero set. The paperclips were already colored, I just bent them into triangles and glued them onto the card with some glossy accents (or maybe it was fabritac). It's simple, but I love how the paper clips look a little like the chevron/arrow trend, and bring in primary colors relating to a kid (or a superhero). Of course, the ink is Clearsnap.

Molding Mat and Modeling Pasted

For this card, I used my new favorite mixed media product, modeling paste. I applied it in a strip with a palette knife after masking off the rest of the card to create nice crisp edges. Then I inked the molding mat and pressed it into the modeling paste.

The inks and molding mat are all Clearsnap. The striped stamps are hero arts and the sentiment is Stamps of Life.

Clearsnap Ombre Sprinkles card

I just love this card! (If I do say so myself) To make this card, I cut strips of cardstock and inked them with various Clearsnap inks into a sort of ombre look. After the strips were dry, I covered them in Sprinkles chunky glitter. The butterfly is from Impression Obsession and I colored it in using Smooch Accent inks.

Joy's Life Honey Pot card

These new Joy's Life stamps are so much fun! I am having a great time pairing them up with my Cricut library!

This time I used the 'I love you, honey' stamp from the That Tastes Punny set. I paired it with a honey jar shaped card!

This shape is actually a cookie jar from the Savory cartridge. I used Bazzill cardstock, Clearsnap ink, Eyelet Outlet brads, and Twinery twine.

Clearsnap birthday card

Today I have another Clearsnap card to share. This card was so much fun to make! Sometimes I really love getting messy! I used some Smooch Spritz over a Crafter's workshop template for the background.
Then I used the blending stylus to apply ink in a strip down the left hand side of the card. The red lace was a remnant that I got at a fabric store and misted with some Stephanie Barnard for Clearsnap Dye ink Spray.

layout for fun!

I haven't been making too many layouts lately, and certainly not just for fun, but made this one! I got these new Webster's Pages papers and couldn't resist making a page with them.

Almost everything on this page is webster's pages except the mist, which is clearsnap, and the sequins.

Eyelet Outlet May Cards

Today I have two cards to share with you using brads from Eyelet Outlet.
First up I have this super bright card that is perfect for spring or summer! I used the Fresh Flower Brads- Pastel on this card, layering them to create dimension. The washi tape and pre-printed sentiment sticker made this card come together super fast!

Supplies:
Bazzill cardstock
Doodlebug patterned paper, washi tape and sticker

This card is on the total opposite end of the color spectrum. It might even be called masculine, although I think it would work for a man or a woman. I used the adorable Puppy Brads

Supplies:
Eyelet Outlet  Puppy Brads
Bazzill cardstock
Webster's Pages patterned paper
Sizzix embossing folder

Joy's Life came out with THREE new stamp sets! I couldn't wait to get my hands on them and get to work! I had this adorable elephant in my cricut library and wanted to use it. So, I made this card with a carnival theme.

I used the Wishing you TONS of FUN sentiment from the brand new Punny Animals stamp set.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Stamp: Joy's life and Hero arts (background stamp for the border)
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye
Ink: Clearsnap

Clearsnap NSD Blog Hop!

Today I want to share this fun layout that I created about my daughter's first performance of the Nutcracker Ballet. I used Clearsnap Crafter's Ink all over this layout - on the fabric, on the letters and on vellum! Crafter's Ink is so versatile!

For the stamped fabric, I used an old repositionable adhesive mat from an electronic die cut machine and placed the fabric flat on that. It held it still so I could stamp perfectly! Then I removed the fabric from the mat, put a scrap sheet of paper over top and ironed it to heat set the ink.

The vellum was suprisingly easy! I just stamped the image. (Stamp gently and be careful not to move the stamp at all because it tends to want to slide on the slick surface of the vellum.) Then I heat set the ink with my heat gun.

I didn't have the letters for the full title in all the same color of letters, so I inked them up liberally with the crafter's ink and heat embossed them with the Opalescent Clear embossing powder to make them all match with a beautiful shimmer!

Not only is that technique great for stretching your chipboard alphabets, but it made my letters match the layout perfectly since I used the same ink as the stamped fabric and accents!

Supplies:
Top Boss Embossing Powder in Opalescent Clear

Graphic 45 Patterned paper
Hero Arts stamp
Bella Blvd alphas
Bazzill cardstock
Want2Scrap jewels

Other: white fabric, sewing machine and thread, vellum

Clearsnap and Hero arts flower card

I just adore this flower stamp from Hero Arts. It's so simple and yet so powerful! I use it all the time! For this card, I paired it with some Clearsnap Pigment ink in Cupid and some Clearsnap Chalk ink in Fawn. The lighter brown flowers were created by stamping again without reinking.

The sentiment stamp is also hero arts. The bling is My Mind's Eye.
